An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax Specialist to join a global Accounting & Advisory firm in Malta. As a key member of the Tax team, your primary responsibility will be ensuring compliance with all aspects of Direct Taxation and ensuring compliance with Tax regulations. The perfect candidate will have a deep understanding of Tax legislation, regulations, and procedures, as well as excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review tax computations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Review and manage Tax returns and ensure timely submission to relevant authorities.
  • Respond to Tax-related queries from clients and relevant authorities.
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to address and resolve tax-related issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to clients.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Qualified accountant (Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA or related field).
  • Minimum 2 years' of experience in Tax compliance and/or advisory services, or equivalent experience in a tax compliance role is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Tax regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Any other professional qualification in Tax and experience in other areas of tax compliance will be considered as an asset.
