A global group of companies operating mainly within the oil & gas, energy and marine sectors are working with GRS Recruitment to recruit a Terminal Operator. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Boards and inspects vessels to confirm compliance with Company regulations and coordinates the Ship-Shore Agreement with management
  • Executes orders to connect loading arms on the jetty to the vessels and arrange line-up of the jetty manifolds
  • Executes orders to commence and stop loading /discharge / transfer operations from the Control Room and commences / stops operations in coordination with the Control Room
  • Carries out periodic inspections of static equipment and rotating equipment to ensure smooth running and dependable service conditions according to checklists
  • Monitors and reports maintenance or project related activities and ensures that all product movements and maintenance are carried out in accordance with the Company’s Safe Work Procedures and practices
  • Performs initial troubleshooting during equipment failures and defects and creates Work Orders outlining the issue, the troubleshooting performed, and the conditions during the failure
  • Ensures that work areas are kept clean and tidy following execution of tasks and monitors overall terminal housekeeping
  • Complies with all HSE and Fire regulations including the use of Personal Protective Equipment
  • Acts as delegate Terminal Assistant Shift Supervisor following approval from Terminal Shift Supervisor
  • Ensures that the standards required by Law and by Management are maintained at all times in the areas specified above.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Holder of a relevant Technical Certificate
  • Up to 1 year of experience in a similar role
