GRS Recruitment are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Underwriting Compliance Specialist to join our client’s Legal team in Limassol. In this role, you will conduct and manage all Know Your Customer (KYC) and compliance checks for the Group. A strong foundation in regulatory compliance, risk management, and partner due diligence is essential, as you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our organization and partners adhere to relevant legal and regulatory standards. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct thorough KYC checks for new and existing partners, ensuring all required documentation meets regulatory standards.

Assess risk based on KYC findings, making recommendations on partnership approvals or necessary escalations.

Collect, certify, and securely store required documents, maintaining timely and organized records.

Oversee compliance with local and international regulations, including AML, CTF, FATCA, OFAC, and other applicable financial standards.

Monitor partner activities for any potential red flags or suspicious activity, escalating issues as needed.

Lead compliance reviews during partner onboarding, verifying identity, business structure, ownership, and financial background.

Ensure all onboarding documentation complies with company policies and industry regulations.

Prepare and submit regulatory reports, such as KYC risk assessments, with accuracy and timeliness.

Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and assess their impact on compliance practices.

Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures related to underwriting and KYC.

Document and regularly update processes to reflect industry best practices and regulatory changes.

Work closely with business, finance, project, and other departments to ensure consistent compliance across the organization.

Collaborate with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders for audits and compliance reviews.

Provide training and support to internal teams and partners on compliance requirements, KYC procedures, and regulatory updates.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, underwriting, KYC, or a similar regulatory role, preferably within fintech.

Strong knowledge of AML and other financial regulations.

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as gaming regulations, FATCA, OFAC, etc.

Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain compliance concepts to various stakeholders.

Proficiency with compliance and risk management software/tools.

High ethical standards and integrity.
