On behalf of our client, a leading specialist insurance brokerage in the maritime sector, GRS Recruitment is seeking to recruit an Administrative Officer to join their growing team in Limassol. This is an excellent opportunity for a degree-educated professional with a legal or maritime background looking to build a long-term career within the insurance and maritime industries. The successful candidate will support the team in administrative, legal, and underwriting matters, while also contributing to claims and operational support as required. The role suits a junior to mid-level professional with strong English skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A background in law or the maritime sector would be considered a significant advantage.
 
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and accurately file all incoming and outgoing documentation in line with internal procedures.
  • Provide administrative and procedural support to the underwriting and claims teams.
  • Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and management of legal and contractual documentation.
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Compose formal business correspondence and maintain accurate records.
  • Contribute to ongoing development of internal procedures and administrative systems.
  • Assist with loss prevention-related tasks as assigned.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Attend relevant training and remain updated on sector trends and internal compliance needs.
  • Perform any additional tasks within scope of role and capabilities, as reasonably directed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University degree in Law, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in an administrative, legal, or insurance environment.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under limited supervision.
  • Experience or interest in the maritime or insurance sectors will be considered an advantage.
