On behalf of our client in energy commodities industry, GRS are looking for a Qualified Lawyer for their Limassol based team. The ideal candidate should have previous experience working in a legal and/or corporate world and be able to manage and support the legal needs across a wide range of commercial, trading, and compliance matters. We are open to reviewing candidates from both legal firms and corporate backgrounds. It is a position for somebody who can hit the ground running!
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and prepare commercial and trading contracts for both the company and UBO’s personal companies.

Perform KYC and compliance reviews to ensure alignment with relevant regulations.

Advise on general legal matters affecting the business, providing support in a fast-paced environment.

Manage and resolve legal issues independently, without needing excessive guidance or supervision.

Ensure compliance with relevant legal frameworks, including sanctions regulations.

Work closely with senior management and other internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risks.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
-
Post-qualification experience (preferably 3+ years) in a legal firm or corporate environment.

UK trained and qualified (ideally in commercial law)

Advantage – previous experience working in a larger UK firm

Knowledge about international trade

Strong background in commercial contracts, trading law and compliance.

Knowledge of sanctions regulations is a plus.

Is fluent in English and Greek

Any commodity/finance background would be a plus

Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders.
