A leading Investment firm is searching for an Operations Officer / Back Officer to join their team in Malta. You will be expected to provide operational support across various teams within the Company, including Operations, Compliance and Client Management Teams.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience working in the financial services industry (banking, investments or compliance) and hold a degree or a minimum of A Level in accounts.   • Inputting and verifying executed investment transactions such as equity, bonds, fund’s investments on behalf of clients
  • Uploading of bank statements in the Back Office system and posting of payment transactions onto the clients’ accounts
  • Processing of Corporate Actions in a timely manner
  • Reconciliations of client accounts (cash and holdings) and bank accounts
  • Assisting with the onboarding process of account openings for new clients onto relevant systems and gathering of KYC documentation in line with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines as set by Compliance.
  • Ensuring client data is accurate and up to date at all times. Assisting with setting clear and consistent guidelines to record any update to personal client data as well as investment transaction limits.
  • Contribute to the implementation and controls for daily processes.
  • Any administrative duties as may as assigned from time to time by the Head of Operations to ensure the smooth running of the operations and other departments
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in the financial services industry (banking, investments or compliance).
  • A minimum of an A Level in Accounts or a Higher degree in Finance/Accountancy
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with various departments.
  • Professional and dependable.
  • Works to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Logical and methodical approach to work.
  • Good eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and maintaining highest standards at all times.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, and preferably Maltese too.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT tools.
  • Self-motivated and flexible with a can-do attitude, willing to learn, and capable of working under pressure and independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment
