DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Freight Tasks:

Supervise all import and Export freight operations (Air and Ocean)

Maintain good relations with clients
-
Participate in acquiring new business deals
-
Book space with carriers for transport of cargo
-
Oversee the process of imported and exported goods
-
Solve day to day problems related to incoming and outgoing consignments
-
Oversee the loading and discharge of imported and exported consignments
-
Liaise with third parties to move goods by air or sea according to customers’ requirements
-
Arrange payment of freight and other charges, or collection of payment on behalf of the client, in coordination with the accounting department
-
Prepare freight manifest and submit to concerned parties
-
Prepare and present periodic productivity and performance reports and analysis
-
Negotiate rates contracts with carriers
-
Assist clients in event of a claim
-
Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations, and other factors that could affect the freight process
-
Control job opening, invoicing, costs recording, and job closing.
Shipping Tasks:
-
Control the creation of vessel on system of port authorities
-
Control the Preparation of recapitulation for vessels (weight and total containers and send it to vessels)
-
Submit Load/Discharge plan, Discharge list, Discharging EDI Empty load list, full cntr list, free zone, ETC… .

Send sailing report after the vessel departure (TDR, sailing PML)
-
Close discharging list, TDR on system
-
Attend to the port to supervise the vessel operation when needed (occasionally )

Perform other requested duties from Management related to customs regulations and others.

Daily coordination and updating to direct manager
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in Ports and Maritime Transportation

6-8 years in the shipping and operations field
