GRS Recruitment are working closely with a newly established law firm in Limassol looking to hire a Senior Advocate. The successful candidate must be a Member of the Cyprus Bar Association with 3-5 years post qualification experience in civil and/or criminal litigation. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Representation of clients before civil and criminal courts and conduct of court hearings.
  • Drafting of pleadings, applications, legal opinions and other legal documents.
  • Providing legal advice.
  • Undertaking legal research.
  • Submission of documents on the online portal
  • Liaising with external parties, intermediaries and clients
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • University Law Degree with a grade of at least 2:1 or similar classification.
  • Lawyer qualification from the Cyprus Bar Association.
  • 3-5 years post qualification experience in civil and/or criminal litigation.
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek languages.
  • Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent drafting and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong team orientation, ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and/or alone.
  • Ensuring that deadlines are met and can handle working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to take initiative and think outside the box in order to achieve the best result.
  • Knowledge of banking and/or property and/or contract and/or family and/or criminal and/or immigration and/or administrative law will be considered an advantage.
