An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax Associate to join a global Accounting & Advisory firm in Malta. You will oversee daily tasks, reviewing complex tax documents, assistance with the preparation and submission of tax computations and tax returns together with other required tax compliance documentation. Additionally, you will provide assistance on tax planning, assistance with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and recap declarations. The perfect candidate will have just graduated or be in professional stages of ACCA and have experience in Tax. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee Junior associates
  • Provide a proactive stance by guiding Junior associates in their day-to-day tasks.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
Review and Analyse Complex Tax Documents
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of intricate tax documents, identifying potential issues and ensuring accuracy.
  • Analyse financial data to extract relevant information and insights crucial for strategic decision-making.
Offer Assistance and Guidance on Tax Planning
  • Provide valuable insights and assistance in the formulation of tax planning strategies for both junior associates and clients.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop effective tax strategies that align with clients' financial objectives.
Collaborate with Clients and Colleagues to Address Inquiries
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and expertise.
  • Foster positive client relationships through effective communication and a deep understanding of their unique needs. 
  • Liaising with the Audit team for addressing Tax compliance queries.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Qualifications: Fully qualified or currently at final stages of ACCA or Master in Accountancy. Previous work experience would be considered as an asset.
  • Analytical thinking: Navigate complex tax documents with precision and a strategic mindset.
  • Effective Communication: Engage with clients, providing clear explanations and building trust through effective communication.
  • Problem-Solving Aptitude: Proactively address challenges, offering innovative solutions to complex tax issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
